Hitchhyke applies cancel and no-show fees to ensure drivers are compensated for their time and effort. You will either receive a minimum cancellation fee or be paid based on the time and distance traveled during the trip, whichever is greater.
Cancellation Fee Calculation
- Your cancellation fee is based on your time and distance while traveling to the passenger's destination.
- There is a minimum cancellation fee to ensure drivers are fairly compensated.
- Your acceptance rate is not affected if a passenger cancels or is a no-show.
Passenger Canceled the Ride
If a passenger cancels the ride, you will receive a cancellation fee if:
- You arrived at the pickup point and selected I am here in the app, and the trip's payment method is a credit/debit card, OR
- You started the ride.
Important Notes:
- Cash rides do not receive a cancellation fee if the ride has not started.
