If you no longer need your requested ride, you can cancel it at any time. However, a cancellation fee may apply under certain conditions.

How to Cancel a Ride

To cancel a ride in the Hitchhyke app:

1. Tap 'Cancel Ride' at the bottom of the ride screen.

You may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel under any of the following conditions:

• The driver arrived at the pickup point and selected I am here in the app, and the trip's payment method is a credit/debit card, OR

  • The driver started the ride.

  Important Notes:

  • Cash rides do not receive a cancellation fee if the ride has not started.

• These fees compensate the driver for their time and gas and may vary based on demand.

Dispute a Fee

If you believe you were wrongly charged a cancellation fee, you can dispute the charge in the app.

How to Dispute a Charge:

1. Open the Hitchhyke app and go to the main menu.
2. Tap 'My Trips'.
3. Select the ride you need help with.
4. Tap 'Report an Issue' at the bottom of the screen.
