How to Update Driver Documents

Uploading and maintaining valid driver and vehicle documents is required to continue driving with Hitchhyke. This guide explains how and where to upload your updated documents.

Heads up: Document reviews typically take 24-48 hours, but can sometimes take longer. You will be notified once your documents are approved.

Profile Photo

A professional driver profile photo can improve your ratings and rider experience. Follow these steps to take and upload your profile photo:

Use a plain background with even lighting.
If possible, have someone take the photo from 3 feet away.
Your head and shoulders must be fully visible in the frame.
Remove hats, sunglasses, masks, or anything covering your face.
- Do not appear shirtless or unclothed.
Smile! A welcoming expression can make a difference.
Open the Hitchhyke Driver app, go to 'Edit Profile', then tap the edit icon next to your profile photo.
Take or upload your photo and submit it for review.

We will review and approve your profile photo, usually within 24 hours.

Drivers can submit a request to update their profile photo.

Driver's License

Your driver’s license must be up to date and clearly visible in the uploaded image.
