How to Apply to Become a Driver

Applying to be a Hitchhyke driver is simple, as long as you and your vehicle meet the requirements. You can start your application through the Hitchhyke Driver app.


How to Start an Application

  1. Create a Hitchhyke account through the app.
  2. Enter your name, gender, date of birth, phone number, and email address.
  3. Submit all the required information to confirm that you meet the driver requirements and vehicle requirements.
  4. Upload identifying documents, vehicle details, and a police record for verification.
  5. Hitchhyke uses Stripe to handle payments. As part of the driver registration process, you must set up a Hitchhyke-connected Stripe account and connect a bank account from a local bank to receive payouts.

Registration requires identifying documents & details of drivers and their vehicles. Police records are required for safety of all Hitchhyke users.
