How the Platform Fee Works

• The trip fare is calculated based on the driver’s per-kilometer rate, base fare, and any additional charges (e.g., wait time fees or tolls).
• After the fare is calculated, Hitchhyke deducts the Platform Fee before paying the driver.
• The passenger pays the full trip fare plus some third-party fees, and the Platform Fee does not add any additional cost beyond the quoted ride price.

Example:

• If a ride costs $1000, and the Platform Fee is 10%:
  • The passenger pays $1000.
  • Hitchhyke deducts $100 as the Platform Fee.
  • The driver receives $900.

Where to See the Platform Fee

• Passengers: The total fare you pay already includes the Platform Fee. There is no separate charge for this on your receipt.
• Drivers: Your earnings summary will only show an estimate of what you will receive after the Platform Fee deduction, not the full trip fare.
